#42 How to True Darts and Manage Dart Volume

pattern fundamentals

Once you've rotated a dart to a new position, the work isn't finished. The dart still needs to be trued, which means establishing clean dart legs, setting the dart point correctly, and creating a dart roof that finishes the seam line neatly. This video walks through that process in full.

I also cover something that doesn't get talked about enough: what to do when dart volume gets too large to sew smoothly. There's a specific technique for managing this, and once you know it, you'll recognize exactly when to use it.

Both techniques build directly on the dart rotation skills covered in the previous video. If you haven't watched that one yet, start there first.
