This workshop will focus on teaching you and guiding you through the process of fitting a garment. The goal is to provide you with strategies for recognizing, assessing, and solving your personal fit issues on a sewing pattern of your choice.
No. In this workshop you will work through the fitting process using a sewing pattern of your choice. You'll get the most satisfying results if you choose a simple pattern so that you can apply the techniques quickly and easily. Once you understand how the process works, you can move on to more complicated styles.
That's the idea! I suggest you bring a tracing of simple sewing pattern to the workshop and work through the Fitting Fundamentals process in a step-by-step fashion along with me.
The class will consist of 6 participants. This will ensure that everyone gets lots of personal attention with minimal waiting time between fittings, there is ample space to work, and we cover the content in the allotted time. This workshop fills very quickly so register early to secure your spot.
What Should I Bring?
Once you are registered for the workshop you will get access to an online mini course that will help you prepare your chosen pattern for the workshop and give you all the details about the workshop. Plan to bring a couple of sewing patterns to work on, all your sewing and pattern supplies as well as a portable sewing machine.
